The BT Keyless Companion Application is designed to work with BT Keyless hardware that is installed in a vehicle and will not perform any functions without the required hardware.
The combined Companion Application and hardware allows the user to automatically unlock their vehicle when approaching with an authorized iPhone and automatically lock after walking away.
The function is entirely passive requiring no additional input from the user after configuring their iPhone.
The user can choose to receive notifications for the Lock and Unlock functions as well manual controls when in range of the hardware.
To make sure this App is ready and active when approaching your vehicle, Location Services is enabled when the App is moved to the Background. Continued use of GPS running in the background can dramatically decrease battery life. Location Services can be disabled for this App to lower battery consumption.
